About Jeff

Chief Financial Officer

My Story

Hello, I’m Jeff Weegar, a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina (certificate 32510) and your ally in navigating the complex world of finance. With over 20 years as a trusted advisor, my journey as a partner and advisor has been rich and rewarding. I hold an undergraduate and Master’s degree in accounting from North Carolina State University. My early career at Dixon Hughes Goodman (now Forvis) involved auditing multiple businesses including healthcare, not-for-profit, manufacturing, auto dealerships, professional service, and other organizations.

I was a member of the leadership team of the North Carolina Healthcare Association from 2013 to 2023, and was named the Chief Financial Officer in 2018. During my tenure as CFO, I developed and implemented a financial plan that included recommending strategic investments, developing budgets and projections, amending financial policies and procedures, and implementing new systems. This resulted in favorable budget variances in all years and a much improved financial position. Additionally, I was able to influence healthcare reimbursement policy and oversee significant Medicaid supplemental payment programs.

Beyond my professional life, I’m passionate about my family and spending quality time with my wife and two children. I find joy in golfing, fishing, and coaching youth sports. I’ve been a board member for the NC Healthcare Financial Managers Association since 2015, and more recently have served as the Treasurer for Cub Scouts Pack 66. Balancing professional dedication with commitments to my family and community, I believe in leading a life that blends professional expertise with joy-filled living and continuous growth in my leadership journey.
